SHI CHENBO - GAP

There are varies kinds of gaps in the world. Gaps between substances require repairing, while gaps between minds and thoughts require communicating and interacting, reading is a channel that links people together to communicate and interact effectively.

Gaps symbolize differences, which provide chances for communicaton. Setting the public reading space as the environment for the use of this product, Shi Chenbo designed a bench for reading in public, with the function of placing books and magazines. The bench, by the form of gap, takes advantages of a strong contrast of wooden and metal material, expecting to satisfy people’s needs for a rest and reading and to supply an opportunity and possibility for them to communicate and share knowledge.
